What is a non-weighted pour spout?

A simple stainless steel spout with a rubber stopper that fits into the bottle neck. It stays open and gives a steady, controlled pour. Unlike a self-closing spout, it has no weighted flap or moving parts.

Does it fit Redstone bottles?

Yes. The ribbed rubber stopper fits Redstone 200 mL, 375 mL, and 750 mL olive oil and balsamic bottles snugly, so you can leave it in place for everyday use. It also fits a wide range of other bottles, including vinegar, syrup, and liquor bottles.

What is the difference between this and the self-closing spout?

This spout stays open. The Self-Closing Olive Oil Pour Spout has a weighted flap that opens when you tip the bottle and closes when you set it down, which helps keep dust out and slows oxidation. If you go through a bottle slowly, the self-closing spout is the better choice.

Should I leave the spout in the bottle?

For bottles you use often, yes. For a bottle you will not use for a while, remove the spout and replace the original cap to keep air out and the oil fresh.

How do I clean it?

Hand wash only. Remove the spout, wash it in warm, soapy water, and let it dry completely before putting it back in a bottle. Do not put it in the dishwasher.

Is this spout included in any gift sets?

Yes. Two come in each Tuscan Herb two-bottle gift set, and three come in the Deluxe Gift Set of 3.
