What Is a Habanero?

One of the world's most popular hot peppers, known for intense heat with a distinctive fruity, tropical flavor underneath. That fruitiness is what sets habanero salt apart from plain chili salts.

Perfect For

• Tacos, nachos, and guacamole
• Grilled steak, chicken, and ribs
• Eggs and avocado toast
• Grilled corn and roasted sweet potatoes
• Spicy margarita and Bloody Mary rims

Pairs Beautifully With

Mix with Lime Fresco Sea Salt for a chile-lime rim, or step up to Venom Sea Salt for extreme heat. Drizzle with Redstone extra virgin olive oil for a fiery dipping oil.

What does Habanero Sea Salt taste like?

Fruity and floral up front, then genuine building heat. More complex than standard chili salts.

How hot is it?

Very hot. Habaneros measure 100,000 to 350,000 Scoville units, much hotter than jalapeno or cayenne. Start with a small pinch.

What are the ingredients?

Just sea salt and habanero peppers, with no anti-caking agents.

Is it vegan and gluten-free?

Yes. It's vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free.

Is it hotter than Venom Sea Salt?

No. Venom, made with Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper, is far hotter. Habanero is the pick for bold heat that's still fun to eat.
