Vanilla Bean Cocoa

The classic cold weather treat gets a facelift with Redstone Vanilla Bean Salt whipped cream. The perfect foil to the rich, velvety chocolate is smooth, cooling whipped cream, while the dash of sea salt adds contrast. And won’t your friends and family be impressed when you tell them you made it all from scratch?! Perfect when the weather is cold and blustery or when you need a chocolate fix, this recipe takes no time to make and is a sure-fire crowd pleaser.

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Redstone Vanilla Bean Sea Salt
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 ¾ cup plus ¼ cup 2 percent or whole milk
  • adult option Fireball or Rumplemintz


  1. Mix in medium glass or metal mixing bowl, on high speed, whipping cream and sugar until firm.  Cover and refrigerate.
  2. Whisk cocoa powder, white sugar, and milk in sauce pan on low heat, until sugar has dissolved and mixture is steaming.
  3. Pour warm cocoa into cups and top with whipped cream,  sprinkle with salt.
