Spicy Cilantro Tacos
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pound ground beef, ground chicken, or ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons Redstone I ❤️ Garlic spice blend
- 2/3 cup beef stock or chicken
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon Redstone Bonfire BBQ spice blend
- 2 tablespoon Redstone Cilantro Roasted Onion olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: If you really want to make it HOT, use Redstone Ghost Pepper sea salt instead of table salt
For taco assembly:
- 1 package hard taco shells
- 1 white onion diced
- 1 tomato diced
- 1 cup shredded Mexican style cheese pepper jack and cheddar
- 1/2 lettuce head shredded
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions:
Prepare the spicy meat:
- In a fry pan, pour the Cilantro Roasted Onion olive oil. Cook the meat over medium heat. When nearing fully browned, add in the flour, spice blends. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring often, until aromatic.
- Add in the stock and increase the heat to bring the mix to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer until the mix is thickened (approximately 20 minutes).
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
Prepare the taco building station:
- Warm the tacos shells and place the Mexican style shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and sour cream out for self-service taco building.
- Transfer the spicy meat into a serving bowl and place among the other ingredients.
- Place additional ghost pepper sea salt in a small dish to allow for post-taco-build sprinkling for an extra burst of heat.
- Build away!
