Vanilla Apple Crisp with Cara Cara Orange Balsamic

This warm, comforting apple crisp gets a bright, citrusy twist from Redstones Cara Cara Orange Vanilla White Balsamic. Juicy apples are tossed in cozy spices, then topped with a buttery oat crumble that bakes into golden perfection. It’s the ultimate elevated dessert for fall, winter, or anytime you’re craving something sweet, nostalgic, and just a little unexpected.

  • 9 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 tsp Cara Cara Orange Vanilla White Balsamic

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats

  • ½ cup light brown sugar, tightly packed

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¾ tsp ground cinnamon

Suggestion:  Add a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream, drizzled with Cara Cara Orange Vanilla White Balsamic

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly oil a 9×9 or 11×7 glass baking dish with your favorite EVOO.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, Cara Cara Orange Vanilla White Balsamic, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until the apples are evenly coated. Set aside.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and Cara Cara Orange Vanilla White Balsamic. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Pour the butter mixture into the dry ingredients and stir with a fork until clumpy.

  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apples.

  5. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender and bubbly.

  6. Scoop warm crisp into bowls, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and finish with a drizzle of EVOO for a luxurious, bakery-style touch.
