With just 5 minutes of blending, you can create a luxurious treat that's both creamy and velvety. These delightful little treats will satisfy your deepest chocolate cravings with astonishing ease, though you might need a touch of patience as they set. Treat yourself to this effortless indulgence!

Double Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Ingredients:

  •  6 oz semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon Redstone Dark Chocolate balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Topping and Garnish

  • ½ cup mascarpone cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 oz dark chocolate, very finely chopped
  • Fresh strawberries

Instructions:

Mousse

  1. Set aside four 8 oz glasses or ramekins.
  2. In a blender, place the chopped dark chocolate, salt, balsamic vinegar, vanilla and egg. Process on low speed for 5 to 10 seconds, until ingredients mixed together.
  3. In a microwave safe container, combine the whole milk and heavy cream. Microwave on high power for 60 seconds, and then in 15 second increment as needed, until small bubbles form around the edge of the liquid and it is steaming hot. Do not boil.
  4. Remove the center plug of the blend lid to access the pour hole. Turn the blender on low and slowly pour in the hot milk/cream mixture. Replace plug and increase blender speed to medium. Blend for 60 seconds or until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the chocolate mixture into the four ramekins. Refrigerator for 6 hours.

Topping

  1. Before serving mousse, With the blender whisk attachment, combine the mascarpone, heavy cream and granulated sugar in a bowl until fully blended into the cream and soft peaks form.
  2. Top each mousse ramekin with cream and berries.  Serve chilled.
